Programme Overview
The Obafemi Awolowo Future Leaders Fellowship Programme is a highly selective, merit-based initiative inspired by the enduring legacy of Chief Obafemi Awolowo. It is built for young leaders who demonstrate principled governance, intellectual rigour, and a commitment to human development.
Fellows engage in collaborative learning, mentorship, and leadership practice that prepares them to shape a more inclusive, prosperous future across Africa and the diaspora.
Programme Structure
- Commencement: October 4, 2026
- Duration: 8 weeks
- Schedule: Saturdays, 6:00pm – 10:00pm (Nigeria Time, WAT – UTC+1)
- Format: Virtual sessions, interactive workshops, mentorship, and cohort collaboration
- Commitment: 4 hours per week
Programme Eligibility
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Age 20-35 years
- From Africa, the Caribbean, or the African diaspora
- Show strong leadership potential, integrity, and service orientation
- Be available for the full programme duration
